Forbes Ranks Michelin as a Top 2019 Canadian Employer

80

LAVAL, QC, February 5, 2019Forbes magazine has recognized Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. as one of Canada’s top employers in 2019. It is the first time the tire manufacturer has received this distinction in Canada, placing 16th out of 300 other public and private Canadian institutions. This 2019 distinction follows Michelin North America’s recent 2018 honour, which saw the tire manufacturer receive Forbes top large employer award in the U.S.

Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. is the only tire manufacturer in Canada to appear in Forbes’ 2019 list of best employers; and the only company in the automotive and suppliers category to rank among the top 100 employers in Canada.

The ranking results from a survey conducted by Forbes partner, Statista. The market research company surveyed 8,000 Canadians working for businesses with at least 500 employees, who were asked how likely they would be to recommend their employer to others.

“It’s wonderful to receive this distinction of being one of Canada’s best employers,” said Jeff MacLean, president, Michelin North America (Canada) Inc., “but what’s truly great about this designation is that it’s awarded as a result of direct employee feedback on what it’s like to work at Michelin. That’s what makes this award truly special."
