Michelin North America facility will be better equipped to satisfy customer demand

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., July 8, 2016 – Michelin North America today announced that it will significantly increase the warehouse capacity of its BFGoodrich plant in Tuscaloosa by building onto the current storage facility. Construction on this project begins next month.

BFGoodrich is a brand of Michelin North America, Inc. with headquarters in Greenville, S.C. The company will invest $8 million in the expansion of its current warehouse facility located at the southeastern corner of the Tuscaloosa plant.

With the expansion, the Tuscaloosa plant’s storage facility will grow from 29,000 to 92,000 square feet of space, more than a 215 percent increase in square footage over the current structure. The expanded warehouse will provide more than nine times the storage capacity. Construction on the expansion is expected to be completed early next year and fully operational by the second quarter of 2017.

The BFGoodrich Tuscaloosa facility, currently celebrating its 70th year of manufacturing in West Alabama, builds passenger and light truck tires sold in North America and employs about 1,360 people.

“The expansion of the storage facility will help us further improve customer service, especially geographically in key BFGoodrich tire markets,” said Greg Leikvold, the plant manager at the Tuscaloosa site. “The expansion will result in more agility and will improve our overall delivery efficiency.”

The Tuscaloosa plant is one of two BFGoodrich facilities fully dedicated to the production of BFGoodrich tires in the U.S.

Hello,

There has been an update in the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) program which is a federal grant from the IRS, that makes many companies now eligible to claim up to $26,000 per employee which does not have to be paid back.

I know that many companies are unaware of this program or assume they do not qualify. If you would allow me 10 minutes for a quick call, I can let you know if this program would be a fit for your business. There is no up-front cost and we only get paid for our services if we secure a grant for you.

Please book a call on my calendar at the bottom of my website https://bottomlinesavingstax.com or send me a text at 305-419-1382.

If you are not the appropriate person to speak with, I would be grateful if you could point me in the right direction or forward my information to the appropriate person.

Thank you for your time.

Best regards,

Nick James
