Michelin reaches settlement agreement with Continental

1896

Clermont-Ferrand, France, July 9, 2024 — The Michelin Group has entered a settlement agreement with Continental.

The suit concerned the commercialization in France of the Continental’s tire 315/45R22.5 EcoPlus HD3, in relation to certain aspects of Michelin’s Infinicoil technology, and it has been settled to the satisfaction of Continental and Michelin.

Michelin will continue to enforce its intellectual property rights and to be an engine of innovation.

Infinicoil is a durability feature. It is a continuous steel wire, up to ¼ mile in length, that is wrapped around the tire circumference to make it more stable and durable throughout its service life.
