GREENVILLE, S.C., April, 17 2024 – Michelin North America, Inc., a pioneer in innovative tire technology, and JHB Group, a leader in specialized vehicle solutions, are excited to announce their collaboration on the world’s first overland response trailer, “The Badger.”

This alliance melds the Michelin X® TWEEL™ technology with JHB Group’s proficiency in producing specialized vehicles for public safety agencies including police, fire, military and health.

At the core of this collaboration lies the fusion of the groundbreaking Michelin X® TWEEL™ UTV – an integrated, singular wheel and airless radial tire assembly – with The Badger’s design. Engineered with a rugged all-terrain tread optimized for enduring performance in demanding environments, this tire technology is tailor-made for the challenges of emergency response scenarios, where any downtime due to punctures is unacceptable.

“We are thrilled to partner with JHB Group to bring The Badger to life,” said Tony Marconi, Tweel Business Director, Michelin Tweel Technologies. “By integrating our Michelin X® TWEEL™ technology into this innovative overland response trailer, we are empowering public safety agencies with a solution that enhances their capabilities across diverse scenarios. The Badger represents the culmination of tire innovation and specialized vehicle design, and we are proud to be at the forefront of this groundbreaking endeavor.”

The Badger marks a substantial leap forward in land-based response capabilities for law enforcement, firefighting and emergency services, according to the JHB Group. This adaptable command trailer is designed to confront diverse terrains, offering efficient yet resilient assistance for public safety endeavors. Boasting state-of-the-art power infrastructure, sturdy communication networks, illuminating scene lights, rehabilitation amenities, and unmatched flexibility for various mission requirements, the Badger establishes a groundbreaking benchmark for agility and versatility during crisis interventions.

“At JHB Group, we are committed to developing cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of public safety agencies,” said Chris Gantz, CEO of the JHB Group. “The Badger is a testament to our dedication to innovation and excellence in vehicle design. By partnering with Michelin, we have created a game-changing overland response trailer that sets a new benchmark for performance, versatility and reliability.”
