Two Michelin Retirees Recognized for Distinguished Achievement

16134

Two retired Michelin North America employees have been recognized with the Distinguished Achievement Award from the Tire Society. Steve Cron, who retired this month as a senior principal product research engineer, and Tim Rhyne, retired senior research fellow, both received the Tire Society’s recognition during the virtual 2021 member meeting in September. They are joint recipients of just the 4th such award that has ever been given by the Tire Society. The award was presented to Steve and Tim by past Tire Society president Jerry Potts. The purpose of the Tire Society’s highest award is to recognize individuals who have significantly advanced the science and technology of tires. Both Steve and Tim had a significant impact on the innovation of our products during their years with Michelin, including bringing the Tweel concept to life.

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a co-worker who was doing a little homework on this. And he actually bought me dinner simply because I discovered it for him… lol. So let me reword this.
