The updated Michelin Green Guide Tuscany has been refreshed with the latest tidbits on traveling to one of Italy’s most popular destinations. Like all Michelin travel guides, the newest edition of the Tuscany guide highlights the best of the region with detailed, comprehensive illustrated sections on the sites and scenes of Tuscany, its art, architecture, history and rich culture — all written by experts in the field.

“Italy, and in particular the Tuscany region, continues to reign as one of Europe’s most popular destinations. Italy itself is one of the top three European tourist choices for Americans,” said Cynthia Ochterbeck, editorial director of Michelin Travel Partner. “Travelers who choose the Green Guide are looking for an immersive and independent experience. They use Michelin guides because they want thorough and detailed information that helps them create unique and enriching visits to one of Europe’s most historic and beautiful regions.”

The guide offers newly-revised walking and driving tours that provide an in-depth, personal experience of the region, which includes the breath-taking vistas of peaks and valleys, enduring landscapes of vineyards, olive tree orchards, coastal ports, idyllic beach coves and such historic cities as Florence and Siena.

The Michelin Green Guide Tuscany also contains detailed walk-throughs of museums, galleries, churches and other areas of interest. This includes illustrations and floor plans that highlight in more detail the most compelling aspects of these attractions. With its star-rating system, the Michelin Green Guide Tuscany rates activities, places to stay and eat. The guide also contains practical details about tour schedules, parking fees and reservations.

Michelin has done as much to enhance mobility as any company in the world.  The company patented the pneumatic, or air-filled tire in the late 1800s.  This was a milestone moment in mobility, permitting automobile owners to travel at great length in a single journey.  Then, in an effort to prompt travelers to enjoy their newfound mobility, the company created guides and detailed maps to steer motorists on their way.  The Michelin Tuscany Green Guide is on sale now for a retail price of $21.99.
