Social media sweeps will award grand-prize trip to MotoGP™ race at the Circuit of the Americas; three winners will receive Michelin motorcycle tires
GREENVILLE, S.C., Feb., 14, 2017 ─ Michelin’s motorcycle tire division today announced the launch of a nationwide social media promotion to send a grand-prize winner to Austin, Texas, for the U.S. tour stop of MotoGP, the grand prix of motorcycle racing, at Circuit of the Americas in April. Michelin is the official global tire sponsor of MotoGP racing.
The promotion invites motorcycle enthusiasts across the country to share photos or videos that illustrate their love for motorcycling on Instagram. The contest closes on March 12; participants should follow these steps to enter:
- Follow @MichelinMotorcycle on Instagram
- Post a unique photo or video on Instagram that captures your passion for motorcycling
- Include in the caption @MichelinMotorcycle and the hashtag #MichelinOnMyMoto
The posts will be hosted on the campaign’s site (www.bit.ly/MICHELINgotoCOTA), where the public can vote for their favorites. The top 100 entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges. Then the top 10 posts will be deemed semi-finalists and their content will be shared on the @CircuitofTheAmericas Instagram account. The post that gets the most likes by March 24 will be awarded the grand prize. The top three photos that garner the most support will each receive a set of Michelin motorcycle tires.
As a global sponsor of MotoGP, Michelin will coordinate travel to Austin and lodging for the winner and a guest on April 22, 2017, with admission to the practice sessions at the track, a Grid Walk before the race and prime seating on the main grandstand during the race on April 23, 2017.
