euphoria Announces Michelin starred Chefs

GREENVILLE, S.C., Sept. 8, 2016 – euphoria’s one-night-only Michelin-starred dinner is back!  As an official sponsor of euphoria, Michelin has once again partnered to bring some of the most talented chefs in the country to the South Carolina Upstate in support of euphoria’s 11th Food, Wine and Music Festival, September 22-25.

Michelin North America has operated in South Carolina for more than four decades and moved its United States headquarters to Greenville in 1988. Michelin has published its travel guides since 1900 and first began reviewing restaurants anonymously as a means of providing honest recommendations to travelers in search of good dining.  The now infamous "red guide" is published in more than 20 countries and only 100 restaurants have earned the supreme designation of having three Michelin stars.

The company has supported euphoria since its inception in 2006 when they invited celebrated three-star Michelin Chef Thomas Keller to participate.

euphoria is pleased to announce that Michelin three-starred Chef Curtis Duffy of Grace in Chicago, Illinois will be joined by Pastry Chef Thomas Raquel of Le Bernardin, a three-star Michelin restaurant in New York, New York.

euphoria’s “Coast to Coast” Michelin dinner will be hosted at The Lazy Goat in downtown Greenville with host chefs Michael Kramer (Executive Chef  Culinary Operations, Table 301) and Steven Musolf (Executive Chef of The Lazy Goat). Lionel Vatinet of La Farm Bakery in Cary, NC – recognized by the James Beard Foundation as a semi-finalist for “Outstanding Baker” – will offer artisan breads made with local grain. Reservations for this 5-course wine-paired dinner may be made here: http://www.euphoriagreenville.com/events/guest-chef-dinner-at-the-lazy-goat/

After staging at the acclaimed Pierre Hermé patisserie, Raquel went on to the pastry kitchen at L2O in Chicago, where Chef Laurent Gras had a strong influence on him, and to Chicago’s Acadia, where he was the pastry chef, before joining Le Bernardin’s three-Michelin starred team.  @thomasjraquel; @lebernardinny
